The Mindo Cloud Forest Day Tour will start by driving through amazing landscapes and small towns settled on the way to the Nambillo-Mindo Cloud Forest.

Choose your favorite activities and preferred excursion prior your booking or once in Mindo accompanied by a guide: adventure (long hikes, cascades, zip line horseback riding), fauna/flora sightseeing (bird watching, orchid garden, butterfly farm).

Combine activities as you like escorted by your guide! Early in the morning we drive northwest of Pichincha province. We will drive via the road to the Coast (Mitad del Mundo – Calacalí – Los Bancos).

You will meet the small towns on the highway and witness an astounding landscape transformation on the way. After approximately one 1 and 1/2 hours, we will arrive to the lovely Mindo Parrish.

The plenty of activities on this available on this location, you get the chance to choose what best suits your on spot or prior to your trip. Mindo is home to a rich biodiversity. Its primary cloud forest is considered an ecological paradise.

While bird enthusiasts can delight with more than 500 know bird species, hummingbirds and toucans being the most common, flora lovers can enjoy an unforgettable hike around its evergreen forest.

The vast diversity of plants, flowers and multiple life forms unique to the area never ceases to amaze visitors. Adventure also find its place among the ecological beauties: hikes to the waterfall, tarabita rides, tubing and canopying are common to the area.

You’d be the leader, your guide will take you wherever your adventurous spirit points to! A visit to the beautiful Orchid Garden the Butterfly Farm is also must do before returning back to Quito in the late afternoon.

Climate :

Given that it is a Cloud Forest, the climate in Mindo is usually milder than in Quito, temperatures can range from 15ºC – 24ºC (60ºF – 75ºF) all year-round. Rain storms are common, but the weather is usually humid and warm. Please, read the recommendations below before you get ready for your day-trip:
