You can arrive to the Galapagos Islands only by flight from either Quito or Guayaquil (air ticket not included). Our English speaking guide will be waiting for you at the Baltra Airport in Galapagos. He will then lead you to the port of Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island) for lunch. Afterwards, we will take a short rest before making our way to the Highlands of Santa Cruz. Here you will have the great opportunity to observe the famous Galapagos Giant Tortoises in their natural environment. The Islands themselves were named after these species. You will also be able to see the famous Galapagos Finches, Bird Wizards, as well as endemic vegetation such as Escelacias forests and Matazarnos. After this encounter with the Giant Tortoises, we will return to Puerto Ayora.

Accommodations in the hotel class of your choice

Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early on the morning (either 5 or 8 AM) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point (either Puerto Ayora dock or Itabaca Channel) for a unique close-up with wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, South Plazas, North Seymour OR Bartolomé. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming and breathtaking sightseeing. After land and sea excursions, we will return back to the hotel in Santa Cruz. Overnight in Santa Cruz.

After breakfast we will leave from the Puerto Ayora dock for a panoramic boat tour of various points on Santa Cruz Island. First we will visit the island “La Lobería” so called because of the large colony of sea lions that inhabit it. In this place you can snorkel with sea lions, observe colorful fish and sea turtles. Continuing with the tour we head towards the “Canal del Amor” where we can observe the whitetip sharks from the viewpoint and then snorkel in the area. The navigation will also take us to the Punta Estrada pier for a walk through the place, inhabited by hundreds of marine iguanas towards the so-called “Dog Beach”, the perfect place to sunbathe and relax.

In the afternoon, at the time agreed upon with the guide, the adventure continues with a visit to Tortuga Bay. The visit consists of a walk of approximately 45 minutes to the beautiful white sand beach. There are two beaches in the sector. Brava Beach, which is the widest with two kilometers of extension; and Playa Mansa resembles a large pool surrounded by mangroves and white sand. It is also located in the sector A forest of endemic prickly pears (Opuntias) in which marine iguanas nest and sun themselves. You can also see pelicans, a wide variety of fish and Galapagos gulls. You return to the hotel at 4:45 pm, since the beach closes at 5:00 pm.

On the final day we recommend waking up early to have enough time to get ready for the transfer-out from Puerto Ayora to Baltra where you will catch your return flight to either Quito or Guayaquil
