M/V Humboldt Explorer
The M/V Humboldt Explorer accommodates 16 passengers in 8 air-conditioned rooms, each of which includes private bath and shower facilities. Notably, most cabins can be arranged as twin beds or one large bed, based on guest preferences. Additionally, all cabins have flat-screen televisions and windows offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Galapagos Archipelago.
Cabins are located on both the main and lower decks. Moreover, the air-conditioned salon features dining tables, TV, CD/DVD, a video library, and a lounge area. On top of that, the sundeck includes a jacuzzi and ample seating, providing a relaxing outdoor space. Furthermore, the spacious dive deck features a large camera table and additional amenities for guest convenience.
The dive deck is equipped with individual:
- gear bins
- large camera table
- recharging station
- air and nitrox filling stations
- tank racks
- a separate fresh water rinse tank for underwater camera equipment.
Diving operations are conducted from two large pangas (tenders), easily boarded from the dive deck. The Humboldt Explorer is also equipped with a satellite telephone for emergency calls worldwide.
Technical specifications
The 16-passenger Humboldt Explorer provides 8 air-conditioned rooms located on the main and lower decks; each has a private bathrooms, flat screen television and ocean view. All rooms except rooms 3 & 4 (forward below deck) can be converted to either one queen bed or two twin beds. The yacht features partially covered sun deck with a jacuzzi and ample seating, salon area with dining, bar and entertainment area.
The large dive deck includes a bathroom, large camera table with charging station, individual storage areas, rinse bins for cameras and another for gear. Diving operations are conducted from two large pangas (tenders), easily boarded from the dive deck.
MONDAY: SAN CRISTOBAL (1 CHECK OUT DIVE AT ISLA LOBOS)
Guests fly to the Galapagos Islands from Mainland Ecuador, arriving in the late morning. The dive guides will meet the guests at the airport and escort them to the Humboldt Explorer. Guests will board the vessel after 1:00pm, have lunch and listen to the briefings. After the briefings, the Humboldt Explorer will depart for a short crossing to Isla Lobos for a check out dive and safety briefing. After dinner the vessel will depart to the next scheduled destination.

THURSDAY: WOLF ISLAND (2 DIVES) - DARWIN ISLAND (2 DIVES)
FRIDAY: DARWIN ISLAND (4 DIVES)
SATURDAY: WOLF ISLAND (3 DIVES)
SUNDAY: COUSIN´S ROCK (1-2 DIVES) - SANTA CRUZ: HIGHLANDS (TURTLES FARM)
MONDAY: SAN CRISTOBAL
Depart the vessel by 9 am. Guests are free to visit the beach in town to see sea lions and marine iguanas in their natural habitat or take a short walk to the Interpretive Centre. Transfer back to the airport for flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.
NOTE: Cruise Itinerary is subject to change due to Galapagos National Park dispositions or to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
