7-day Quito and Galapagos Tour | Including Hotel & Transfers

Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin during this 7-day Quito and Galapagos Tour. Spend a day in Ecuador’s capital to explore the colonial past of quito and visit the Middle of the World monument to straddle the Equator. The third day fly to the Galapagos Islands where your guide will be waiting to lead you on your 4-day island-hopping adventure. Learn about the native flora and fauna, including the famous tortoises, then head back to Quito for your flight home.

DURATION	This is a 7 day Quito and Galapagos Tour.

INCLUDED	3 nights accommodations in double rooms in hotel in Quito 3 nights accommodation in selected class hotels in Galápagos. 3 breakfasts, 3 lunchs, 3 dinners in Galapagos. 2 breakfasts on Quito. Trasfers from Quito Airpot – Hotel – Quito Airport (Days 1, 3, 6 and 7). All land and sea transportation within the Galapagos during the program. Bilingual naturalist guides for Galapagos. Excursions and visits during the program as shown in the itinerary.
NOT INCLUDED	Air Tickets to/from Ecuador and Galapagos. Lunch nor Dinner in Quito . Entrance to Inti Ñan Museum and Mitad del Mundo Monument in Quito. Galapagos National Park Entry Fee – USD$100. Isabela Dock Fee – USD$5. Migratory Control Card for Galapagos– USD$20. Water taxi from dock – speedboat – USD$1 per person/per ride.

Day 1

Arrival to Quito and transfer to hotel

Arrival to Quito Ariport. Pick up from the airport by our guide who will transfer to your hotel of stay in Quito (90 min approx).

Day 2

Quito City Tour & Equatorial Monument Day Trip (B)

Start by visiting the historic center of the city. Take a walk in San Francisco Square and its church, the Independence Square and the main Cathedral, Presidential Palace, El Sagrario Church, and one of the best examples of the baroque movement in South America, the iconic church La Compañía de Jesus. After this enriching historic visit, we continue driving north 15 Km. from Quito towards the Middle of the World. On the small citadel, we will visit the Middle of the World. Afterwards, visit the Inti Ñan Museum, a scientific and cultural museum located in the actual location of the Equator Line. We will hit the road again towards Volcan Pululahua view point before heading back to the city and your hotel of stay.

Day 3

From Baltra to Isabela Island (L) (D)

Pick up form your hotel in Quito and transfer to the Airport to catch your flight to Galapagos. A guide will be waiting at the airport in Baltra to then head to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Afterwards, you’ll take the public speedboat to Isabela Island around 2pm (2.5-hour ride ). After arriving in Isabela Island, take a brief rest at the hotel and then head to the Flamingo Lagoon, the largest coastal lagoon and one of the main reproductive sites for flamingos in Galápagos.

Day 4

Isabela Island (B) (L) (D)

Early in the morning, head for a full day tour of Sierra Negra Volcano. This is the world’s second largest volcanic crater. Hike the crater and enjoy the view before continuing to Volcan Chico, a still active volcano which warms the surrounding grounds. (Box lunch will be provided). Spend the afternoon snorkeling in Concha Perla with sea lions, colorful varieties of fish and sea turtles (snorkeling equipment is included: tube, mask, fins).

Day 5

Santa Cruz Island (B) (L) (D)

Early in the morning (6am), take the public speedboat from Isabela to Puerto Ayora, where the guide will be waiting. Check in at the hotel and immediately begin the visit to the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Enjoy a visit to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Return to Puerto Ayora and in the afternoon head to the Charles Darwin Research Station and observe colorful land iguanas and a large variety of Galápagos Giant tortoises brought from the most important islands in the archipelago.

Day 6

Transfer Out Baltra Airport – Transfer to Hotel in Quito (B)

Transfer to Baltra Airport. On the way out, stop by “The Twins” (a.k.a. “The Gemelos”). Tour ends upon the arrival to the airport to catch plane to Quito. The guide will pick you up at Quito Airport and take you to the hotel.

Day 7

Transfer Out to Quito Airport

Depending on your departure time of your international flights, you will be picked you up from your hotel to Quito Airport.

NOTE: itinerary subject to change due to Galapagos National Park dispositions or to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).

Departure Time

In Ecuador: Time of arrival to Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre in Quito. You will be picked-up at the airport at the time of arrival.
In Galapagos. Time of arrival to Baltra Aiport (GPS) – Baltra Island, Galapagos Islands (earliest flight)

NOTE: All flight times are approximate and subject to change due to weather conditions and weight restrictions.

NOTE FOR GALAPAGOS FLIGHTS: Please, make sure you book an early flight of arrival to on Day 3 (before 11 am) in order to follow the order of the displayed itinerary. However, if you must book a late flight (later that 11:30 am), please let us know as soon as possible(preferably at the time of reservation of the tour). We will need to modify the order of the activities in the itinerary.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GALAPAGOS FLIGHTS: Make sure you pick a late flight for your return to Quito from Galapagos on the last day (Day 6) of the galapagos tour (departing later than 12:30 pm)
