Scuba Diving Galapagos | Floreana Experience

Floreana Island is one of the older volcanic islands, and has an uneven profile that is the result of numerous volcanoes and parasitic cones. First island to be inhabited by humans.

Floreana Island presents an excellent selection of varied dive sites and a few official visitor sites. (Punta Cormorant, Enderby and Champion).

Location: South of Santa Cruz Island, 3 possible dive sites, 90 minutes away from our base.

Site Conditions: Divers should be alert for changeable currents. Some sites are reef dives where corals and sponges can be found and others are wall dives.

Activity: Most of the interesting activities takes place in the shallows where the current strikes the reefs. Cleaning station, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, white tip reef shark, green turtles, reef fishes, sting rays, eagle rays, barracudas, variety of invertebrates.

Dive difficulty: Floreana island site has very little current making it an excellent site for beginners, and a great place for the experienced diver to relax and take in all that Galapagos Islands has to offer.

Duration: Full day tour.

The price of the tour does not include air tickets, we can help with your booking, you may also book flights on your own; please note on what island you will need to arrive and leave from.

Try to arrive in the morning (before 12am) and leaving in the afternoon (11 am or later) – don’t miss any part of the tour. You can book your flight through TAME, AEROGAL, LAN.

Schedule of Excursions:

The schedule of the excursions will be coordinated and determined locally through the guide and those responsible for the operations in Galapagos.

The guide will indicate at what time each activity will start. The transfers between islands on the public speedboats are the only activities with fixed departure times.
