Tip Top IV at a glance

Cabins on board Tip Top IV

All 10 cabins measure 12 m² and have two single beds (2.00 x 1.00 m) that convert into a queen bed, a private bathroom with biodegradable amenities, individual air conditioning, a safe, a 110V outlet and USB port, drawers, towels, a hair dryer and Wi-Fi.

• Lower deck cabins (1 to 6): six cabins.
• Upper deck cabins (7 to 10): four cabins.

Life on board

Guests share a dining room, a comfortable lounge with bar and an observation sun deck for wildlife spotting between islands. Free Wi-Fi is available on board.

Each day includes guided walks, panga (dinghy) rides and snorkeling, and on many visits kayaking and paddleboarding.

Safety and environment: Furuno radar and GPS, VHF and HF radios, EPIRB and SART emergency beacons, two 25-person life rafts and 50 life jackets, fire and smoke detection, a sewage treatment system and a reverse-osmosis water plant. All safety equipment complies with international Coast Guard regulations.

• Eastern route, 8 days (Friday to Friday): North Seymour, Española (Suárez Point, Gardner Bay), San Cristóbal (Pitt Point, Witch Hill, Kicker Rock), Santa Cruz (Fausto Llerena Breeding Center, Twin Craters, Bachas Beach), Santa Fe, South Plaza, Bartolomé, Santiago (Sullivan Bay), Rábida and Chinese Hat. Best for seabird colonies, waved albatross (April to December) and snorkeling.
• Western route, 8 days (Friday to Friday): Santa Cruz (Black Turtle Cove, El Chato), Genovesa (Darwin Bay, Prince Philip’s Steps), Isabela (Vicente Roca Point, Tagus Cove, Elizabeth Bay, Urbina Bay, Moreno Point), Fernandina (Espinoza Point), Floreana and Mosquera Islet. Best for marine iguanas, flightless cormorants and Galapagos penguins.

The eastern route can also be booked as a 4-day cruise (Friday to Monday: North Seymour, Española and San Cristóbal) or a 5-day cruise (Monday to Friday: Santa Fe, South Plaza, Bartolomé, Santiago, Rábida and Chinese Hat). The western route operates as an 8-day cruise only.
